This page explains how IQ, the exIQtive AI capability, is designed and used. It also sets out our position under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, as amended by the Digital Omnibus) and our current GDPR status. Published 14 October 2026.
IQ suggests. Humans decide.IQ helps you clarify roles and responsibilities. A person reviews and assigns every score, and only a certified coach can issue a readiness badge. IQ never issues, assigns, or recommends a badge.

How a suggestion becomes a decision

1

IQ suggests

For example, IQ can suggest a job-category score based on the EIGE methodology. Each suggestion is shown with its rationale.
2

A person reviews

A person accepts, edits, or rejects each suggestion. Nothing is applied automatically.
3

The decision is logged

The human decision is recorded separately from the IQ suggestion.
Readiness badges sit outside this flow. A certified coach issues them, and IQ plays no part.

What IQ does not do

  • IQ does not score, rank, or evaluate the performance or behavior of any individual.
  • IQ does not suggest badge levels, readiness scores, or performance ratings for individuals.
  • IQ does not make or recommend decisions about hiring, promotion, task allocation, or termination.
  • IQ does not infer the emotions or mental states of people at work.
  • IQ does not profile individuals.

Our classification position

We assess that IQ is not a high-risk AI system under Annex III, point 4 of the AI Act (employment and workers management), for three reasons.
  1. It does not evaluate individuals’ performance or behavior, allocate tasks based on individual traits, or inform decisions on promotion or termination.
  2. Its outputs concern roles and job categories, not people.
  3. It performs an assistive function, and a person makes every final determination.

GDPR status

exIQtive is not yet fully compliant with the GDPR. We are working toward compliance and plan to reach it in 2027. If you process personal data about people in the EU and want to discuss our timeline or the safeguards in place today, contact your exIQtive representative.

Other AI Act obligations

  • AI literacy (Article 4). We support the people who use IQ in understanding what it can and cannot do.
  • Transparency (Article 50). IQ is clearly labeled as AI wherever people interact with it directly.
  • Prohibited practices (Article 5). We do not use any, and none are planned.

Our commitment on scope

Any proposal to add per-person suggestions or scoring to IQ triggers a classification review before development begins. Such a feature could change IQ’s classification and the obligations that follow from it.

Guidance for customers

You remain responsible for how you use exIQtive outputs. We advise against using IQ suggestions as the sole basis for any employment decision about an individual.

Review

We review this statement when IQ changes materially, when the AI Act or its guidance changes, when our GDPR status changes, and at least once a year. This page describes our current position and is not legal advice.
