Readiness is measured from 0% to 150%. Where you land tells you how capable and independent you are.
  • Developing, 0% to 50% (inclusive): you’re still learning and need support.
  • Competent, above 50% up to and including 100%: you can do the work, with growing independence.
  • Expert, above 100%: you can coach others or define the standard.

Badge levels

Your Readiness for each Responsibility comes from the badge you hold for it. Only current badges count. An Expired or Removed badge contributes 0%. See The Badge Ladder.

Importance: how much each Responsibility counts

Each Responsibility has an importance level that weights the calculation. Your Responsibilities are listed from highest to lowest potential impact, so you always know where to focus.

The roll-up

1

Role Readiness

The weighted average of your Readiness across all Responsibilities in the role.
2

Employee Readiness

The weighted average across all roles in your position. With multiple positions, role readiness is calculated per position, then averaged across positions.
3

Organizational Readiness

The weighted average of Employee Readiness across all positions. A vacant position contributes 0%, so filling vacancies matters as much as training people.

Badges vs. active assignments

A badge stays on your record after it’s issued, even if you’re reassigned away from that Responsibility. But your Readiness score only counts badges for Responsibilities you’re currently assigned to. That’s why your badge count and your Readiness percentage can differ.

Common questions

Usually your highest-importance Responsibilities have low badge levels. A Novice badge on a Very important Responsibility pulls the score down far more than one on a Somewhat important Responsibility.
It’s excluded from scoring. You’re still assigned and expected to learn it, but it won’t affect your percentage until the importance is raised.
Yes, an expired badge counts as 0%. Automatic expiry is processed overnight, so the drop shows the next day. A badge removed manually by an administrator drops immediately.
A position is only as ready as the person in it. No employee means no readiness to measure, and the score reflects that gap honestly.
