An Architect holds the top badge on the Readiness ladder, at 150% Readiness, above Novice, Apprentice, Proficient, and Coach. Unlike the badges below it, Architect isn’t earned through inspection. An administrator issues it to someone with deep expertise in a Responsibility who is willing to own its long-term standard.

What an Architect does

Architects create and maintain the institutional knowledge for a Responsibility:
  • Short videos
  • Knowledge articles
  • The Quizzes employees use to self-assess
  • The Inspection Protocol Coaches use during inspections
They also train and certify new Coaches, and can act as a Coach to conduct inspections directly.
Badges are per Responsibility, not per person. The same employee can be an Architect for one Responsibility while holding a Proficient or Apprentice badge for others.
