What is a checkpoint quiz?
A quiz holds up to 5 questions. Each question has several answer options, with at least one marked correct. The checkpoint’s To Pass requires setting decides how the quiz is used:Where to find the quiz
1
Open the checkpoint
Open the checkpoint in a responsibility’s checklist.
2
Take the edit lock
Click Edit. Only one person can edit a checkpoint at a time.
3
Open the Quiz tab
If the quiz has no questions yet, you’ll see No questions found with two options: Add Question and Suggest.
On an Active checkpoint, quiz changes are made under Proposed Changes and take effect when you publish. See Editing a checkpoint.
Generate a quiz with Suggest
Suggest asks IQ to write the questions for you from the checkpoint’s microlearning. It reads the video or the article, including any images in an article.1
Click Suggest
On the Quiz tab, click Suggest.
2
Let IQ work
A thinking banner replaces the questions while IQ works, and you can watch it reason through the content.
3
Review every question
The new questions appear as normal question cards. Edit or delete anything that’s wrong, unclear, or not what you want to test.
While IQ is generating
- Save Changes is disabled.
- The checkpoint’s ⋮ menu shows a lock icon, and no checkpoint actions are available until generation finishes.
If generation fails
A red banner appears with Retry. Nothing is saved when generation fails: an empty quiz stays empty, and existing questions are untouched. Click Retry to try again, or Exit Edit to leave without generating.Review and edit questions
Each question is a card on the Quiz tab. Correct answers are marked with a check. The 5-question limit
Once a quiz has 5 questions, Add Question is disabled and shows “You have reached the maximum number of questions”. Delete a question to make room.Tips for a good quiz
- Finish the microlearning first. Suggest can only work from what the video or article actually teaches.
- Treat Suggest as a first draft. You’re accountable for the questions employees are tested on.
- Test understanding, not memory of wording. If a question can be answered without watching the video, rewrite or delete it.
- Run Suggest again if the first set misses the point, remembering that it replaces what’s there.
